It’s refreshing to witness an artist coming off of the biggest moment of their career after taking a huge risk, especially one that deliberately questions the celebrity machine we’ve become so used to. And it makes me feel more sane to know that artists also tire of the many ways in which we’ve warped music into something that it is not.

During a recent late-night Wikipedia dive, I was surprised to learn that Charli XCX — fresh off the massive recognition of “Brat” — has not one, not two, not three but seven appearances in films set to be released in the near future. These upcoming projects include fantasy film “100 Nights of Hero” and erotic thriller “I Want Your Sex” from queer icon Gregg Araki. She’ll also appear in “The Gallerist,” which features the likes of Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega.

Considering these social implications, wearing the MAGA logo goes further than endorsing Trump — it represents a full-fledged identity and a willingness to stand by a set of controversial ideals, like his comments about Haitian immigrants and his plan to leave the Paris Agreement. In this way, MAGA merch has evolved into a form of resistance for some — a visible statement of allegiance to Trump, regardless of the backlash it might invite.

Various realms of the music industry are brought together in Charli XCX’s remix album, “Brat, and it’s completely different but also still brat,” released on Oct. 11.  The album features numerous artists — ranging in genres from indie tunes to emo rap all fused in an astonishing reconstruction of Charli XCX’s sixth studio album, “Brat.”  The album features Robyn, Yung Lean, Bb trickz, Ariana Grande, Jon Hopkins, Troye Sivan, Addison Rae, Caroline Polachek, Bladee, A.
