Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show: Kendrick Lamar brought the bars, but was it a touchdown performance?

The production was sleek, the performances were sharp and the creativity was undeniable. But when you stack it against Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, and Shakira-level halftime shows, it lacked that extra layer of spectacle that makes a Super Bowl performance legendary. Still, Lamar brought his signature storytelling, intricate visuals and undeniable talent to the biggest stage in the world, creating a show that was uniquely his.

REVIEW: ‘Ferrari’ is a mythologized and hollow portrait

From the beginning, Mann’s “Ferrari” doesn’t hold any water. Though it tries to, the film can’t tear down the image of a man because it hardly built it up in the first place –– beyond a symbol of adoration and spectacle. The film’s classical composition and artisan facade just embellish the boring emptiness within it –– “Ferrari” is an impersonal failure at a detailed portrait.

Boston drivers lost an average of 48 hours to traffic in 2020 — down from 101 hours in 2019 — according to an INRIX report. The city’s congestion now ranks fourth in the United States, behind New York, Philadelphia and Chicago.
