“Shrink it and pink it!” This phrase is used over and over again when designing and marketing products for women. There is one market in particular that perpetuates this motto, design after design: the sneaker industry. With the rise in popularity of new sneakers designed specifically for women, most times by women, I started to wonder, aren’t women’s sneakers already designed for women? 

When given a platform to educate teens about their bodies and sexuality, teachers need to be thoughtful and exceedingly knowledgeable. Everything they say — or don’t say — when teaching the subject matters a great deal.

The “pink tax” is a subtle form of gender discrimination, with little to no economic reasoning. The shockingly slow legislation relief for this unfair pricing places a significant burden on women.

This weekend, I’ll be lucky enough to see a performance of “The Vagina Monologues” right here at Boston University. I’m crazy excited to see this show, and not just because I have a few friends...
