Since the Fall, students living in on-campus dormitories have been expected to form “households” within their residences and establish COVID-19 residential protocols on mask-wearing and social distancing based on each other's personal preferences. However, some students were sent a stricter set of residential COVID-19 protocols by their resident assistants for the Spring semester than in the Fall.

The disproportionate number of women currently out of work could potentially worsen the negative bias against professional women and working mothers.

BU is “just trying to creep it real” and urging students to celebrate Halloween safely and responsibly this year, according to a University email sent to students Wednesday afternoon. Meanwhile, COVID-19 cases continue to rise both nationally and in Massachusetts.

Halloween usually means parties and celebrations with friends, however public health precautions against a highly transmissible virus means students will need to adjust their plans this year to celebrate safely. 

BU has begun relocating students previously assigned to triples and quads to new spaces, as part of its initiative to create a safer campus when students return in Fall.
