Popeyes to open new location near Boston University on Commonwealth Avenue

This summer, anyone at Boston University who likes fried chicken will have something to look forward to. A new Popeye’s is slated to open late May or early June, adding to the local food scene that already includes Raising Cane’s and bb.q Chicken.  Rahman Hashimi, the location’s new owner, said the restaurant will be located at 1024B Commonwealth Avenue, previously home to Mission cannabis dispensary.
