Students reflect on mental health throughout COVID-19 pandemic

The mental-health toll of the pandemic has affected many lives, but, according to a CDC study, the percent of individuals aged 18 to 29 experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression continues to soar past the national adult average. BU students reflected on the pandemic's mental health challenges on the year anniversary, and said they are still working to get better.

FitRec reopens for Spring semester

Boston University’s Fitness and Recreation Center opened its doors for the Spring semester Friday. Reservations — which can be made up to three days in advance — are required for recreational gym use. Students can reserve one time slot per day for a 90-minute session.

Students in some on-campus residences face stricter COVID-19 protocols this semester

Since the Fall, students living in on-campus dormitories have been expected to form “households” within their residences and establish COVID-19 residential protocols on mask-wearing and social distancing based on each other's personal preferences. However, some students were sent a stricter set of residential COVID-19 protocols by their resident assistants for the Spring semester than in the Fall.
