I’ve picked some relaxing songs with spring vibes to get into that fresh start and warmer weather mindset.
The more I thought about my morning of misfortune, the more I thought about the idiom, “When it rains it pours.” Obviously it literally fit my situation, as the torrential downpour raged on, but how did it connect with the series of bad luck everyone occasionally experiences? I wondered, “Where did this phrase come from, why is this phrase used so often and ultimately, why do bad things seem to happen all at once?”
“Eyes Wide Shut” and “Fight Club” show us that if we continue to consume material items in incredible quantities, sooner or later we will be the ones indefinitely consumed by them.
Exercise is a physical, personalized form of self-expression. It should be unique to your body and focus on what makes you feel energized, inspired or just a little more radiant.
Time is a valuable resource. The only lifelong activity we should be pursuing — with no fear of wasting time — is learning, and “it takes the whole of life to learn how to live.”
