The award show, which celebrates the best of American Primetime Television, witnessed the lowest viewership in its 74 year run. Anyone familiar with the dying cable platform isn’t surprised at such statistics. With more and more Americans electing to pay solely for streaming, many programs actually on air are expected to suffer. 

I have never had a band so quickly become one of my favorites.

As we collectively exit this pandemic, I hope we can recognize that relatability has become a shallow concept.
