Utah Hockey Club is finally getting a name. Smith Entertainment Group, owners of the Utah Jazz, acquired majority ownership rights to the NHL team back in April 2024. The news came after a few months of speculation that Ryan Smith, SEG chairman, wanted a team in Utah, and that team would be the now-defunct Arizona Coyotes.
A new champion was crowned and another retained their belt in Salt Lake City, Utah, at UFC 307: Pereira vs. Rountree Jr. Raquel Pennington was dethroned by Julianna Peña in a split-decision loss, and Alex Pereira defeated Khalil Rountree Jr. by technical knockout in the fourth round of their main event fight.
The 2024-25 National Hockey League season is sliding in fast, and there are some interesting threads to follow as the season unfolds. After all, hockey is more fun when you know what you’re watching for.

The NHL currently has 32 teams with the recent addition of the Seattle Kraken for the 2021-22 season. But the league apparently doesn’t want to stop there.
