Whether it’s through my terrible singing, even more terrible dance moves, hiring frat pledges to publicly wish my friend a happy birthday or even dressing up as a lobster for BU’s annual Lobster Night — I’m not joking about that, by the way. You can look it up — I’m going to keep putting myself out there, no matter how ridiculous I may look. If anyone’s wondering what I’m doing right now, chances are it’s something embarrassing.

Let this serve as a reminder that every human, regardless of where they came from, has an immense amount of love and value to offer to a world filled with so much hatred and pain. Let’s not turn on each other and instead appreciate our differences, for it is those very qualities that make us unique and not bland. Who wants to be the same person anyway? That would be so boring.
