She describes love “not as a surge of passion, but as a choice to commit to something, someone, no matter what obstacles or temptations stand in the way.” Giffin wrote that “maybe making that choice again and again, day in and day out, year after year, says more about love than never having a choice to make at all” — and I thoroughly agree.
If you care enough, speak up. Don’t hold back because you fear someone might stop liking you. If being real drives someone away, then that connection wasn’t meant to last. People come into our lives for a reason, and sometimes, they leave when their purpose is fulfilled.
