The highway between here and there

The highway between here and there

By Isabella Panichi April 28, 2026
The thing is, beyond the highway on BU Beach, there is a river. There is a moving body of water that is alive. On any occasion you may see ducks, some boats or a rowing team. In the same way, beyond all the fear and existentiality, there is the chance to begin a life untethered to something more structured. There is a beautiful freedom here, no matter if I am ready or not.

Two weeks of lasts | The Senior Scaries

By Sam Marshall April 28, 2026
As I mourned my last MarMon, I was moved to tears. I realized that a lot of my “lasts” at BU are happening over the next two weeks. I have my last assignments, one last term paper, one last test and eventually one final class. Do we really need a cap and gown? | The Senior Scaries

By Sam Marshall April 8, 2026
At least now that it’s April, the university has released the graduation and commencement schedules, and I can finally relay that I will be graduating, the ceremony is planned for a specific time and location and a hotel is booked. As for dinner reservations, we haven’t quite gotten there yet. But rest assured, with 43 days till graduation, I’m sure it’ll all be figured out soon. And yes, the official countdown to graduation has begun.
Ask Abby (Or Analise): Is finding love senior year possible?

Ask Abby (Or Analise): Is finding love senior year possible?

By Analise Bruno March 16, 2026
Graduation, I will agree, is a strange cutoff point. No one’s life will look exactly the same after as it did while they were in college. Everyone is moving and priorities shift. But let me play devil’s advocate here and say I don’t think it’s impossible to find love senior year if you lead with intention and effort – though there are some drawbacks.

The language of flowers

By Isabella Panichi April 2, 2025
Sometimes the occasion for giving flowers is just because — just because you love someone, just because you were thinking of them or just because you’re there.
