Donations made by the Musk Foundation to a BU rocketry team uncovered by The Daily Free Press are igniting debates over private donorship and revealing intra-University tensions over the funding it receives.
On Monday night, Boston University Student Government unanimously passed a bill to redistribute funds from the Community Service Fee for the 2024-2025 school year.
Tianyu Wang, an assistant professor in the College of Engineering, is more than just your course lecturer — he is a neuroscientist and Chipotle regular who recently received a $2.5 million grant for his research. The grant, from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, was to advance a research project he is conducting with professors from Yale University and Cornell University to improve deep tissue imaging inside the brain.
Effective for students admitted to the Dual Degree Program during or after Fall 2024, Boston University increased the credit from 144 to 160 credits, according to University officials.
