The Supreme Court, if possible, needs to reconsider its choice not to hear the case of Mckesson v. Doe. They must put a foot down and protect the First Amendment right to protest, especially for peaceful organizers.
This year — given our current political climate that’s growing more polarized by the second, and given my festering fear of a second Trump term — it seems undeniably clear the impact third-party and independent candidates will have on Biden’s reelection bid.
Trump tends to frame himself so closely to great historical activists, martyrs and heroes to hide the fact that he is a slimy, horrible and dangerous man. For him to compare himself to civil rights leaders when he’s on trial for paying hush money to a porn star who he had an affair with is delusional to a legitimately insane degree.
In light of the Baltimore bridge collapse, which caused the deaths of six construction workers, Buttigieg received harsh criticism for the insensitive timing of this statement — despite the timing of this particular statement being completely wrong. All this discourse, however, has led me to a question: can a bridge be racist?
Yes, the party as a whole has weakened, but this faction has grown more powerful as their Trump-like behaviors continue to go without repercussions and their unprecedented actions continue to pay off.
Isn’t it telling that Biden, the media and a great deal of non-Trump supporters immediately jumped to the worst possible conclusion when the word “bloodbath” came out of Trump’s mouth?
Believe me, I despise Trump, don’t love Biden and am generally not thrilled at the idea of either of them being elected president for another four years. But I accepted a long time ago that this primary is a bust.
“Abortion trafficking” is a term meant to sensationalize and vilify adults who help pregnant women and girls get abortions. Meanwhile, the “right to travel” has always coexisted with the “full faith and credit” clause of the Constitution.
