The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department’s crime logs from Oct. 27 to Nov. 1.
Elevator entrapment at 925 Commonwealth Ave.
Between 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 1:53 a.m. on Oct. 28, 20 parties were trapped in the east elevator at the above location. Boston Fire Department and elevator company Otis were on the scene and cleared the elevators.
Gas/Chemical event at 665 Commonwealth Ave.
Between 6:45 a.m. on Oct. 28 and 6:45 a.m. on Oct. 29, a caller reported a white substance was making people sick. BU Environmental Health and Safety was on scene. BFD was notified.
Lost and found service at 815 Albany St.
At 8:17 a.m. on Oct. 28, BUPD units found a bag with soiled clothes, needles and cash in the Medical Student Residence park at the BU Medical Campus.
Call involving animals at 775 Commonwealth Ave.
At 3:05 p.m. on Oct. 28, BUPD received multiple calls reporting a turkey trapped inside a vent on the first floor of the George Sherman Union. Animal control advised the removal of the turkey.
Larceny over $1200 at 275 Babcock St.
Between 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Oct. 28, a caller reported their bag and laptop were stolen from the West Campus Dining Hall.
Well being check at Amory Street and Comm. Avenue
At 6:20 p.m. on Oct. 28, a caller reported a Green Line B trolley with an illuminated sign that said “CALL POLICE.”
Medical at 700 Commonwealth Ave.
Between 8:15 p.m. and 8:25 p.m. on Oct. 28, staff from the Warren Towers Dining Hall reported a party with food stuck in their throat. Armstrong Ambulance was notified and arrived on scene.
Hit pedestrian at 845 Commonwealth Ave.
At 9:27 p.m. on Oct. 28, a party reported being hit by a vehicle while walking. BFD, Emergency Medical Services and BUPD were on the scene. The party refused medical attention.
Suspicious person at 715 Albany St.
At 4:14 p.m. on Oct. 29, an anonymous tip stated that two parties were checking the bike rack at the above location.
Suspicious person at 44 Buswell St.
Between 5:18 p.m. and 6:18 p.m. on Oct. 29, a caller said they saw an unknown party wearing a ski mask in the laundry room, who set off an alarm 15 minutes earlier.
Nighttime breaking and entering for felony at 53 Bay State Road
At 3:44 a.m. on Nov. 1, BUPD dispatch saw a male party exiting a building and entering another one. BU Facilities Management and Operations were notified to secure the doors. An arrest was made.
