Can’t Keep the Streets Clean
At 1 a.m. on Friday police responded to a call of an altercation downtown. The police found the victim, a street sweeper operator, who had cuts and swellings on his face and arms. The victim said that he was driving his street sweeper the wrong way down a one-way street when a car pulled in front of his sweeper and stopped. The victim got out of his street sweeper and the two suspects exited their car. The suspects proceeded to beat the victim with a hammer and threw a football in his face. Later, the police located the suspects’ car, and the street sweeper positively identified the suspects. Police arrested the individuals and searched their car to find both a hammer and a football.
