Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey formed a regional health coalition with other northeastern states following a federal funding block of up to $200 million to programs run by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the upcoming fiscal year, according to a Sept. 18 press release. 
Department of Health and Human Services’ press office announcement regarding the firings of 17 members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., secretary of HHS, also fired the CDC director in August.

A couple weeks ago, Gov. Ron DeSantis came out with new COVID-19 vaccine guidelines for Florida residents: Anyone under 65 shouldn’t get the new booster. DeSantis’ suggestion is a striking contrast to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidelines that recommended everyone over six months old should get the booster.
