Boston University employee Jared May is under fire after he posted online Monday about six young DOGE employees, garnering national attention and outrage.
“This is like some kind of miracle. A phenomenon,” shouted Deputy Gordon Cole, a “Twin Peaks” character played by the beloved David Lynch. And that’s what “Twin Peaks” was — some sort of phenomenon. It’s a show that proved TV could be a medium for artistic storytelling.
Susan Akram, director of the International Human Rights Clinic at the Boston University School of Law, said she saw generational trauma firsthand. Akram started teaching at BU in 1993, where she now supervises students representing international non-governmental organizations at the International Human Rights Clinic, IHRC.
It’s important the crowd of mangy white supremacists who broke into the Capitol a few weeks ago are labeled as terrorists. But do the same for the cops letting them into the building and posing for selfies, the cops participating in the insurrection and the cops who engage in acts of terrrorism on the daily.
Trump himself is not politically conscious enough to subscribe to fascism. Rather, his political motivations are mostly rooted in a selfish sense of opportunism, leading him to value personal loyalty over ideological preference.
