No one really thinks of turning to LinkedIn, and I can’t really blame them — it’s academic-facing, and has always come across as being “strictly business.” Yet, the more I toiled with the idea of LinkedIn being a one-stop shop for all things romance, I couldn’t help but wonder: could this be the revolutionary answer to modern dating troubles?
Some people join clubs, others join frats and sororities — all of which are great ways to find community and a sense of belonging. But for me, something about working with the same people every week for a semester, and then getting to meet new ones as the schedule changes every semester is the best kind of instant connection made.

The entire concept of leadership is arbitrary, varied by culture and thus a cause of needless stress. Which is to say, if there were ever a time for universities to loosen their expectations for students and potential applicants, perhaps a global pandemic would be a great start.
As a consequence of being more open and understanding of students’ workloads — and perhaps in the future, being able to pay them — school newspapers can outgrow the journalism industry by being more inclusive and equitable.
Should journalists go to college? The answer is: maybe. It’s an individual choice, but there will unfortunately always be an advantage to higher education.
Sitting down with yourself and coming up with a list of priorities is a good way to hold yourself accountable and redirect your cash flow toward things that will make you the happiest in the long run.
