Boston University is planning to slow down its spending in anticipation of funding cuts and policy changes amidst a flurry of executive orders impacting federal funding agencies.
Some of my fellow Americans actively want my minority friends out of the country, my girl friends dead, my queer friends converted, my education stunted. I used to hold Republican voters to a higher standard, but evidently, I can’t anymore.

Boston residents reflected on the historic, months-long campaigns and national-scale issues that impacted their votes, as they cast their ballots in the 2024 Presidential Election on Tuesday.
Massachusetts voters turned out on Election Day, motivated by historic stakes and issues in party loyalty, women’s rights and the candidates’ character.
Yes, the party as a whole has weakened, but this faction has grown more powerful as their Trump-like behaviors continue to go without repercussions and their unprecedented actions continue to pay off.
As silly as his products sound, I was also reminded that the criminally charged ex-president would not sell an “I <3 Trump Robe Set” – complete with a “luxurious” white bathrobe, candy and slippers all boldly bearing his name for $185 – unless there was at least one person buying it.
Former president and 2024 candidate Donald Trump was once again absent from the second GOP primary debate on Sept. 27. Of course, his failure to attend did not go unaddressed by his fellow Republican candidates when they took to the debate stage.
If we ever hope to achieve a world in which left-leaning policies — disarmament, pacifism, racial reparations and gender equity — are actually implemented, we must start by holding our elected left-leaning officials accountable.
This ideology of politicizing science — such as Trump’s politicization of the COVID-19 pandemic — already has and will continue to have large-scale consequences in the real world.
